ANIMA MUNDI to ogólnoeuropejski projekt, który opiera się na współpracy i wymianie doświadczeń w dziedzinie sztuki dźwięku i performansu dźwiękowego, poruszając kwestie zmian środowiskowych, ekologii i zrównoważonego rozwoju. Specyfika praktyk artystycznych związanych z dźwiękiem polega na jej silnym związku ze środowiskiem. Artyści dźwiękowi w szczególności zajmują się kwestiami przestrzeni i jej uwarunkowań, a ponieważ często wykonują nagrania i działania terenowe w naturze, środowisku miejskim lub w związku z architekturą, ich praktyka jest silnie relacyjna. Tematy te znajdują odzwierciedlenie w skupieniu się ANIMA MUNDI na wielorakich i różnorodnych relacjach między istotami ludzkimi i nie-ludzkimi oraz rzeczami, a także między nimi a ich otoczeniem. Zajmując się interakcjami międzyludzkimi i nie-ludzkimi oraz kształtując wspólne postrzeganie przestrzeni poprzez dźwięk, nowa wrażliwość i uważność na materię życia powstaje poprzez dźwiękowe, multisensualne i multisensoryczne doświadczenia, które stają się punktem wyjścia do głębszego zrozumienia naszego współistnienia i uwikłań ze światem.

ANIMA MUNDI #3 to wystawa prezentująca audiowizualne i wielokanałowe instalacje dźwiękowe, rzeźby dźwiękowe i performanse dźwiękowe artystów z Berlina związanych z galerią Errant Sound i z Irlandii związanych z wytwórnią Farpoint Recordings. Poszczególne prace pozwalają odbiorcom doświadczyć transformacji materii, materiału i naszego środowiska, a także pozwalają im podróżować do różnych miejsc, krajobrazów i sytuacji wzajemnych relacji międzyludzkich.

ANIMA MUNDI rozpoczęła się w 2022 roku jako współpraca między renomowaną przestrzenią projektu Sound Art Errant Sound (Berlin), przestrzenią muzyki eksperymentalnej i wymiany interdyscyplinarnej Liebig 12 (Berlin), Miejskim Ośrodkiem Sztuki i galerią Terminal08 (Gorzów). W tym roku do projektu dołączyli nowi partnerzy - Farpoint Recordings (Dublin). ANIMA MUNDI #1 była pokazem performansów dźwiękowych berlińskich artystek w Miejskim Ośrodku Sztuki i dwóch instalacji dźwiękowych w Terminal08 w październiku ubiegłego roku, a następnie #2, wystawa sztuki dźwiękowej z poznańskimii i berlińskimi artystami w Errant Sound w listopadzie 2022. Następna edycja Anima Mundi #4 odbędzie się już w listopadzie br. - będzie to wystawa w irlandzkich artystów Errant Sound i cykl koncertów irlandzkiej grupy Strange Attractor w Berlinie, Szczecinie, Gorzowie i Poznaniu.

Errant Sound zajmuje się eksperymentami w dziedzinie sztuki dźwięku, w tym instalacją, performansem, nagraniami terenowymi, głosem, radiem i praktykami przestrzennymi. Poprzez wystawy, prezentacje, wydarzenia, rezydencje i warsztaty, Errant Sound kładzie nacisk na zaangażowanie w proces i dialog, zachęcając do dynamicznego i różnorodnego podejścia do sztuk dźwiękowych. Jako przestrzeń projektowa, Errant Sound zamierza również wspierać działania społeczne i publiczne, przyczyniając się do rozwoju kreatywnej sceny w Berlinie i jego społeczności artystycznych. Definiuje się jednak jako galeria sztuki dźwięku, a nie przestrzeń koncertowa. Założona w 2010 roku przez Brandona LaBelle'a jako przestrzeń projektowa Errant Bodies. Od 2013 roku jest zarządzana i rozwijana przez grupę roboczą złożoną z artystów, badaczy, kuratorów i pisarzy koncentrujących się na badaniach nad dźwiękiem i praktykach dźwiękowych. Od 2016 roku działa pod nazwą Errant Sound, a od 2017 roku grupa jest zarejestrowana jako oficjalne stowarzyszenie Errant Sound e.V. (stowarzyszenie artystyczne non-profit). Grupa robocza rozwija inicjatywy i eksperymentalny program prezentacji, wydarzeń i wystaw nie tylko w swojej przestrzeni projektowej, ale także w przestrzeni publicznej i innych lokalizacjach. Errant Sound od samego początku swojego istnienia jest bardzo dobrze powiązane z berlińską i międzynarodową sceną sztuki dźwięku, prezentując wielu lokalnych i międzynarodowych artystów i teoretyków dźwięku z Europy, Ameryki Północnej i Łacińskiej, a także częściowo z Azji, Afryki i Australii. Regularnie kuratoruje i organizuje festiwal Sound Art "Dystopia", który za każdym razem skupia się na innym regionie (ostatnie edycje: Turcja, Brazylia).

ANIMA MUNDI is a pan-European project that is based on cooperation and exchange of experiences in the fields of Sound Art and sonic Performance Art, addressing issues of environmental changes, ecology, and sustainability. The specificity of sound-related artistic practices lies in its strong connection to the environment. As sound artists particularly deal with questions on space and its very conditions, and as they often perform recordings and field activities in nature, urban environments or in relationship to architecture, their practice is strongly relational. These themes are reflected by ANIMA MUNDI’s focus on the multiple and diverse relationships between human and non-human beings and things as well as between them and their surroundings. In dealing with human-non-human interactions and in shaping shared (perceptions of) spaces through sound, a new sensitivity and attentiveness towards the matter of life come into being through sonic, multisensual and multisensory experiences, which become the starting point for a deeper understanding of our coexistence and entanglements with the world.

ANIMA MUNDI #3 is sound art-exhibition at MOS in Gorzów presenting audiovisual and multichannel sound installations, sonic sculptures, and sound performances of Berlin-based and Ireland-based artists, who are part of the cooperation project. The individual works let the audience experience the transformation of matter, material and of our environment, and they let them travel to different places, landscapes and situations of human-non-human interrelations.

Errant Sound has been dedicated to experimental work in sound-related arts, including installation, performance, fieldwork, voice, radio and spatial practices. Through exhibitions, presentations, events, residencies and workshops, Errant Sound emphasizes an engagement with process and dialogue, encouraging a dynamic and diverse approach to the sound arts. As a project space, it also intends to foster social and public activities, contributing to the creative scene in Berlin and its artistic communities. However, it defines itself as a sound art gallery – not a concert space. Founded in 2010 by Brandon LaBelle as Errant Bodies, the project space, since 2013, is managed and developed through a working group comprised of artists, researchers, curators, and writers focusing on sound research and sonic practices. Since 2016 it operates under the title Errant Sound, and since 2017 the group is registered as an official association Errant Sound e.V. (non-profit art association). The working group develops initiatives and an experimental program of presentations, events, and exhibitions not only in their project space but also in public space and other locations. Errant Sound is, from the very beginning of its existence, very well connected with Berlin-based and international Sound Art-scenes, having presented many local and international sound artists and theorists from Europe, Northern and Latin America, and partly from Asia, Africa and Australia as well. It regularly curates and organizes the Sound Art-festival "Dystopia", which puts a focus on a different region each time (last editions: Turkey, Brazil).
